

Suha Arın
Director · ProducerSuha Arın (January 23, 1942, Balıkesir - February 1, 2004, Istanbul) is a Turkish academic and documentary director. Described as "the pride and great master of Turkish documentary filmmaking," Arın completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Ankara. After receiving his BA in Film and Television Production and Directing from Howard University in Washington and his MA in Mass Communications-Government and Public Information from The American University, he worked as a director and screenwriter for the Ministry of National Education's Educational Film Center from 1962 onward. Between 1966 and 1967, he worked at Capital Film Labs in the United States. He also served as the Washington correspondent for Voice of America Radio, the International Cinema and TV Center (USIA), and TRT Washington, working as a translator and presenter.
